About Me and my qualifications

In my early career I was a Registered General Nurse. I later trained in Counselling and Psychology obtaining a Degree in Counselling Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology.  I am registered with the HCPC as a Counselling Psychologist and accredited with the BACP.  I have worked in number of settings in the past 18 years including the NHS, a G.P. practice, Further Education and in organisations.  I now work in Private Practice and as a Psychotherapy Tutor for Chrysalis.

How long will it take?

Short and long term counselling is offered and takes place weekly to begin with. Short term counselling lasts for up to 6 session and longer term from 20 sessions onwards. This will be discussed without the first session and sessions are reviewed at the third and on a regular basis. The session last for 55 minutes.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes, unless you are at risk of harming yourself or someone else and then confidentiality can be breached according to the Code of Ethics laid down by the BACP and BPS. All counsellors have professional supervision.

How much will it cost?
